1.Overview
This Refund Policy explains when [Your Legal Entity Name, Registered Address] refunds PodReel payments. It forms part of our Terms of Service. In short: If you have used less than 20% of your monthly credits, you can request a refund within 14 days of your first payment.
2.How billing works
- Paid plans are charged in advance, monthly or annually, through Stripe, and renew automatically until cancelled.
- 1 credit = 1 rendered minute of video. Credits reset each billing period and do not roll over.
- Prices exclude taxes, which are added where required.
3.Cancelling your plan
- Cancel any time from your billing portal or by emailing support@podreel.example.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
- Cancelling does not by itself refund the current period, unless one of the cases in the next section applies.
- Remember to cancel before your renewal date if you do not want to be charged again.
4.When you can get a refund
| Situation | Refund |
|---|---|
| First payment, requested within 14 days, with less than 20% of the period's credits used | Full refund |
| Charged in error, duplicate charge or a clear billing mistake | Full refund of the incorrect amount |
| A technical fault on our side stopped you using the Service and we could not fix it within a reasonable time | Refund or credit for the affected period, at our discretion |
| Annual plan, cancelled within the window above and under the usage threshold | Full refund |
| Renewal charge you did not expect, reported within 7 days of the charge and with no renders since | Refund at our discretion |
| Refund required by consumer law where you live | As the law requires |

Outside these cases, fees already paid are generally non-refundable, including partial months or years and unused credits.
5.Why there is a usage threshold
Rendering video uses real computing resources the moment it happens. Once 20% or more of a period's credits have been used, the Service has been substantially delivered, so we cannot refund it in full. Previews, transcripts and edits that do not use credits do not count towards the threshold.
6.Digital service and your right to withdraw
PodReel is digital content and a digital service that starts as soon as you pay. Consumers in some regions, such as the EU and UK, have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. You can lose that right once the service has been fully performed, or once it has started with your express request and your acknowledgement that you lose the right when it is fully performed.
Digital service notice. PodReel is a digital service that starts immediately. By starting to use it you ask us to begin the service right away and, where the law allows, you acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed or, for consumers in the EU/UK, once you have used it with your express consent. If you have used less than 20% of your monthly credits, you can request a refund within 14 days of your first payment. Details on the refund page.
Where the law gives you a right to withdraw that cannot be waived, this policy does not limit it.
7.How to ask for a refund
- Email support@podreel.example or use the contact form and choose “Billing”.
- Send the email address on your account, the date and amount of the charge, and the reason.
- We aim to reply within 5 business days (Mon–Fri, 09:00–17:00 (UTC)).
8.How refunds are paid
- Approved refunds go back to the original payment method through Stripe.
- They usually appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.
- We cannot refund to a different card or account.
- After a refund, the plan ends and any remaining credits are removed. Clips you already downloaded are yours to keep.
9.Disputes and chargebacks
Please contact us before asking your bank for a chargeback. We would rather fix the problem directly, and it is usually quicker. If a chargeback is filed, we may suspend the account while it is reviewed.
10.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes apply to payments made after the new version is posted, and we will give notice of material changes.
