Features
From transcript to finished clip
PodReel handles the transcript, the waveform, the captions and the export, so you can spend your time on the conversation instead of the editing timeline.

How it fits together
One pipeline, from audio to post-ready clip
Each stage hands the result to the next, and you can step in at any point to adjust it.
Suggested Moments
Long episodes often contain short, shareable ideas: a clear answer, a story with a clean ending, a line worth quoting. PodReel scans the transcript and proposes segments that start and end on sentence boundaries.
Every suggestion comes with a plain-language "why this moment" note, so you can judge it quickly instead of scrubbing through the whole recording. Suggestions are a starting point. Nudge the start and end, merge two, or pick your own.

The waveform tells viewers "this is a podcast" even with the sound off. PodReel animates it from your actual audio, so the motion follows how you talk.
Pick from waveform styles built for different moods: calm and minimal for narrative shows, bold and punchy for interview clips. Switch templates on the same clip and compare instantly before you spend a render minute.

Speaker-Labelled Captions
Most people watch short video on mute. Captions carry the clip, and on a two-person conversation they need to show who is speaking. PodReel labels speakers and colours each voice so the exchange is easy to follow.
Automatic transcripts make mistakes, especially with guest names and niche terms. Click any line to correct it and the caption updates in the preview straight away.

Cover Art & Host Photo Layouts
Your cover art is how listeners recognise your show. Layouts put it where it fits: full background, a square beside the waveform, or a small badge with the episode title.
Add host or guest photos for interview formats and PodReel handles cropping and spacing for each aspect ratio, so you do not rebuild the layout for every platform.

Brand Kit (colors, fonts, logo)
Set your palette, upload your logo and choose fonts once. Later clips reuse them, so you do not re-enter hex codes each time.
You can upload your own brand fonts if your licence allows it. Network plans can keep a separate kit per show.

Export in 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9
Each platform prefers a different frame. PodReel re-lays out captions, waveform and artwork for the ratio you pick instead of just cropping the middle.
Choose the ratio at export time. Each rendered ratio uses credits for its own length, and the export panel shows the credit cost before you confirm.

For people who care how it sounds

Made for vertical feeds
Clips default to 9:16 with captions kept inside the safe area.

Less time in the editor
Transcript-first editing replaces scrubbing through a timeline.

Sound stays the focus
The waveform comes from your real audio, not a stock loop.
Honest comparison
Manual editing vs PodReel
PodReel does one job: podcast clips. It is not a replacement for a full video editor.
| Task | By hand in an editor | With PodReel |
|---|---|---|
| Finding a clip-worthy moment | Scrub through the full recording | Suggested moments with a reason |
| Adding captions | Type or sync them by hand | Generated from the transcript, editable |
| Showing who is speaking | Manual labels per line | Speaker labels and colours |
| Matching your brand | Rebuild colours and fonts each time | Brand kit applied to every template |
| Exporting for each platform | Re-layout for every aspect ratio | 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 from one clip |
| Fine-grained video effects | Full control in an editor | Not a general video editor |
